PLB CONFESSIONS 106- Shining Lights 🌕❇

According to the Bible we (God's people) are the light of the world. Actually, Jesus said so Himself in Matthew 5:14,Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
What is light?
The Bible also shows us what light is, Ephesians 5:13 says, But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
Light makes manifest, light reveals, light exposes, light shows forth, light illuminates. Darkness is associated with evil, ignorance, bad stuff but light is associated with good, knowledge and blessings.
As lights of God, we make manifest the life of God. We're expected to shine for Him in this world by intensifying our efforts in living the life He's given to us. Philippians 2:15 says, That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world. This is our goal to reveal God and His love and His wonders and His virtues and His Gospel and His blessings to the world! That's how to shine for the Lord.

You can make these affirmations below as you shine forth for the master today and always.

I am the light of God
I am the light of the world
I shine for the Lord everywhere and every time
I show forth His love, kindness, goodness and blessings to my world
I use every medium available to me to shine for Him
I reveal His Gospel to my world
And my actions cause more people to glorify Him and come to Him.
Hallelujah!

See ya!

Count the Cost

Luke  14:28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? I'd never forget a knowledge I got in my Economics class while I was in my Pre-degree programme in 2013. The lecturer asked "what comes first, consumption or production?", without any hesitation, everyone shouted " Production ". The lecturer looking at us unsatisfied with some subtle grin on his face, asked " why?" , a guy raised his hand confidently, got up and said " because we produce before consumption can take place", the lecturer laughed, and we all for a minute looked bemused with certain indistinct chatters here and there, after some minutes, the lecturer called the young man and asked "so what happens when you produce and there's no one to consume it", and for about some few seconds, there was a seeming silence in the hall, you could hear a pin drop. The loud silence was fol...
