Calm Down πŸ˜€

Proverbs  25:28  "He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls."

Tayo, a young promising man in his early 20s was on his way to get some groceries at the grocery store down the street when he saw another guy in a heated argument with his friend. In a bid to show solidarity, he runs down to "help" his friend, while trying to wade into the matter he forcefully pushes the other guy, a gutter was nearby, the guy slipped, and hit his head on an iron bar, and dies on the spot. Tayo never got to the grocery store or back home until after 15 years behind bars for manslaughter.

Self-control has been a reason many have preserved their liberty while others without exercising it have sold theirs'. In a world where many see calmness as a form of weakness and retaliation as strength, it takes one with wisdom to know how to live in peace. The scripture above posits who a man without self-control is like, He says "he is like a city broken down without walls", always ready to be attacked from external forces. Today, make up your mind to ALWAYS be in charge of:

1.Your emotions.

2.Your decisions.

3.Your actions.

No situation should be too big to trigger an action that's not been scrutinized by Self-control.

Apostle Peter- Running 1

A blend of Bible stories, revelations and fiction (literature license) about Peter's life and somewhat complex choices and decisions. Sit back, relax, cappuccino and enjoy! And Peter was running again, away from the persecution that had once again broken out against the Church. Jesus had been long gone. He missed Him. He still had nostalgia and goose bumps whenever he remembered just how divine Jesus was. He had seen Jesus do a lot of amazing miracles but none quite like the last one- he and his other folks, some 50 of them watched as Jesus levitated into the heavens until no physical eyes could see him again. He said He was going to heaven and of course that was true- Peter knew now by deep conviction that he'd walked with God Himself. And for some reason he thought himself a friend of God. He knew he was going to see Jesus again sometime soon. There was no debate in his heart about this. He loved Jesus or perhaps God- they were one and the same persons to him now. He ...

The Noble

Who is a noble person? Through Scripture references and inferences we'll embark on a journey that seeks to define and show us who God deems to be a noble person and why being one is an absolute no brainer, especially in this present noble-starved age. Pls note- the opinions presented in this article are derivations from the Scriptures and not a carnal fabrication or mere mental or cultural estimation of the author. You can look em up yourself to confirm the assertions and/or suggestions. The term noble/nobleman appears 40 times in the King James version of the Bible but it was first used in Exodus24:11 to describe certain "elders" who were to work alongside Moses in leading, guiding and directing the people of Israel according to the desires of God. Point to note is they were "leaders" and men of high repute often in the classification of princes and rulers over other people. So, if you're over anyone in leadership you're actually a noble save t...

Going on to know Him

People easily judge other people when they don't know them. We all may be guilty of this. A Lotta times, we stereotype people by how they look, their dressing and outward mannerisms ever before we hear them speak. I have been shocked many times of how guilty I've been with this. The most recent of such a person I nearly badly stereotyped turned out to be such an incredible person, so different and special in her way and she helped me in many beautiful ways such that we became pretty cool friends in the space of just a few months but this was the same lady I almost thought was way away from my type of friends. We've all made such mistakes so don't look at me that wayπŸ˜ΆπŸ˜‡. When we were done with the project that brought us together, I offered to take us to an icecream spot- it would probably be the last time we were seeing so it was my way of saying "thanks". There I told her how I had felt about her when I first saw her and she was somewhat unsurprised and sa...
