PLB-15 steps to effective and exciting Bible study I

It's a series, so just relax and chill.
It is common knowledge that as a Christian you have to, need to and must study the Scriptures for a successful Christian life. There are many successes in the world today but the Christian's definition of success is quite different. It has to do with living all of life and doing all things as the Scriptures teach.
From relating with people I realise that a lotta Christians desire to get more of the Scriptures but are burdened with many excuses as to how (where, when) to go about it.
These series are designed to help solve these challenges. Have fun reading☺.

1. Realise that in order to love God more and live a truly fulfilled and pleasing to God you will need some good level of personal knowledge from the Scriptures (settle that first in your heart).

2. Everyone who has had a considerable beautiful experience with the Scriptures can testify to these:
-you may not agree with everything at first,
-you may not understand everything in one fell swoop initially, you may even easily get boredπŸ˜₯ of it at inception. However, a strong desire to progress in the knowledge of God along with a decent level of patience should take care of this.

3. Get your Bible study gear ready. It's simply the most important project you will be embarking upon in your life so it's more than worth getting ready for. Your gear should include these above all else;
-5 translations of the Bible (my suggestions are: KJV/NKJV, Amplified, Message, NIV, NLT),
-a dictionary/thesaurus,
-Greek and Hebrew manuscripts,
-Bible commentaries,
-GoogleπŸ˜‰. You probably already have most of these things on your smart phone/device so just download the ones you don't have. How blessed we are in our age!

Count the Cost

  Luke  14:28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? I'd never forget a knowledge I got in my Economics class while I was in my Pre-degree programme in 2013. The lecturer asked "what comes first, consumption or production?", without any hesitation, everyone shouted " Production ". The lecturer looking at us unsatisfied with some subtle grin on his face, asked " why?" , a guy raised his hand confidently, got up and said " because we produce before consumption can take place", the lecturer laughed, and we all for a minute looked bemused with certain indistinct chatters here and there, after some minutes, the lecturer called the young man and asked "so what happens when you produce and there's no one to consume it", and for about some few seconds, there was a seeming silence in the hall, you could hear a pin drop. The loud silence was fol...
