PLB-15 steps to effective and exciting Bible study 2

Here's the continuation for getting your Bible game lit!

4. Another really cool way to get started is to go for recordings of others whom you've heard have done incredible exploits with the Word and are skillful at teaching it (my recommendation: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome). This way might be faster for some of y'all. There's a reason you had and still have teachers for academic purposes in your life. God apparently has provided for that in His great plan to keep His children enlightened about Him and His ways and us. It's okay to get help sometimes and not just think you can 'diy' all the time. Get the e-versions of their message and plug in at your silent times, while driving to work and while on the treadmill, have a voracious attitude towards the Word... and oh, you can get Pastor Chris Oyakhilome's video and audio messages by getting the "Pastor Chris Digital Library" app on the Apple app store and Google play!

5. Create some solitude. You wanna bring yourself away from distractions. One of the things you'll learn with God is how much He loves to have you all to Himself sometimes (yes, you're in a romantic relationship with Him now so deal with that😬☺). No one else, just the two of you. There'll be times He wants to share you with others for study (Church/fellowship times) but don't play with His "just us two" times.

6. Determine what exactly you wanna learn. If you have a subject you want to research on, a question you seek answer to, a challenge you wanna learn how to solve, be clear on what exactly you want to have gained by the end of your study time.

7. Determine how long you wanna stay. Trust me, He wants you to stay for like ever but He's too wise and knows you gotta get some other things done. As a matter of fact, He wants it to be such that you're so inspired at the end of the study you go ahead and act upon what you just learnt! However, if you're just starting I recommended that you do no less than 30 minutes per day (or every other day) for the first week(and don't decrease it😐). You're gonna love it, trust me! Also, don't rush. Be completely relaxed, you're dealing with an absolute gentleman. Relax your nerves.

8. Pray before you commence- this is very important in this process, You need the supernatural Teacher's (the Holy Ghost) expertise in getting a hang of the Words in there. If you speak in tongues you can do 5 mins. If you don't yet speak in tongues though... hmmn, well, I can help with a sample model of prayer that will help you get started:

Dear Father, I love you today and always. Thank you for this desire and discipline for your Word that you've put in me. I recognise that the Bible contains the most potent words ever and I am ready to be taught, coached, inspired, corrected, transformed and wholly impacted by your Word right now. Precious Holy Spirit, my heart is completely open and receptive to your thoughts and ways and I receive all your impartations today. I love you and am excited about the end of this session already! Let's get started.
...TBC...

Look out again on in 2 days for the continuation. Ensure you read this thru to the end... massive loveπŸ’– from us to you!

Taking the Virtual edge

Psalms  133:1 "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!" 133:2 "It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;" The beauty of Christianity is in fellowship. Well, due to certain 'developments' around the globe, there's been restrictions on public gatherings, however, this should never put an embargo on fellowshipping with one another as Christians. I've often thought to myself, the internet came at the very right time, the internet is for the advantage of believers. Now, with the internet, we can reach much more people with the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. Some people, otherwise who wouldn't have come to Church physically might most definitely stumble on a Christian event online and then believe in Jesus. I heard of a lady who didn't go to Church because she was of a different religion and being afr...
