PLB'S CONFESSIONS 105- LOVE πŸ’Ÿ

So much has been said about loveπŸ’ž yet so much more is required to be said, especially about divine love. There are different kinds of love but the PLB talks only about divine love all the time because that is the only authentic love that never fails and helps us attain our optimum potentials according to the Bible (Ephesians3:19).

That it is divine love doesn't mean it must or can only be between God and man, no, not at all. Divine love simply means- God's kind, type and quality of love. This quality of love is replete in the Bible, especially in the person of Jesus as He related with God and people when He walked the streets of this world physically some 2000 years ago.

So in essence, when Christ lives in our hearts, His love becomes shed abroad in our hearts (Romans5:5) thereby overthrowing carnal human love and flushing it out of us and as a result, we realise we can only love like God. We begin to see others as God sees them and we begin to love them as God loves them.
It could be your spouse, fiancΓ©/fiancee, parents, colleagues, friends or even strangers, divine love acts just as God would towards them in whatever circumstance they may be in.

PLB enjoins us to study 1Corinthians13 (the entire Chapter) along with the three John epistles (not the synoptic) at least once every month in order to imbibe this love culture. These Scriptures provide a template we can work with and actively practise as we improve on our love level.

One of the ways to grow love in and around us is by talking love all the time (Philemon1:6). You can begin with the words below πŸ‘‡.

I am a love child of a love God
The love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Ghost,
therefore, I see others as God sees them
I speak only uplifting, encouraging, and graceful words to others all the time
I am kind, gracious, truthful and benevolent always.
I've got liquid, flowing love and I've got fiery(burning), tough love.
And the love of Christ in me abounds yet more and more every single day in Jesus name! Amen!
Hallelujah!!

Apostle Peter- Running 1

A blend of Bible stories, revelations and fiction (literature license) about Peter's life and somewhat complex choices and decisions. Sit back, relax, cappuccino and enjoy! And Peter was running again, away from the persecution that had once again broken out against the Church. Jesus had been long gone. He missed Him. He still had nostalgia and goose bumps whenever he remembered just how divine Jesus was. He had seen Jesus do a lot of amazing miracles but none quite like the last one- he and his other folks, some 50 of them watched as Jesus levitated into the heavens until no physical eyes could see him again. He said He was going to heaven and of course that was true- Peter knew now by deep conviction that he'd walked with God Himself. And for some reason he thought himself a friend of God. He knew he was going to see Jesus again sometime soon. There was no debate in his heart about this. He loved Jesus or perhaps God- they were one and the same persons to him now. He ...

The Noble

Who is a noble person? Through Scripture references and inferences we'll embark on a journey that seeks to define and show us who God deems to be a noble person and why being one is an absolute no brainer, especially in this present noble-starved age. Pls note- the opinions presented in this article are derivations from the Scriptures and not a carnal fabrication or mere mental or cultural estimation of the author. You can look em up yourself to confirm the assertions and/or suggestions. The term noble/nobleman appears 40 times in the King James version of the Bible but it was first used in Exodus24:11 to describe certain "elders" who were to work alongside Moses in leading, guiding and directing the people of Israel according to the desires of God. Point to note is they were "leaders" and men of high repute often in the classification of princes and rulers over other people. So, if you're over anyone in leadership you're actually a noble save t...

Going on to know Him

People easily judge other people when they don't know them. We all may be guilty of this. A Lotta times, we stereotype people by how they look, their dressing and outward mannerisms ever before we hear them speak. I have been shocked many times of how guilty I've been with this. The most recent of such a person I nearly badly stereotyped turned out to be such an incredible person, so different and special in her way and she helped me in many beautiful ways such that we became pretty cool friends in the space of just a few months but this was the same lady I almost thought was way away from my type of friends. We've all made such mistakes so don't look at me that wayπŸ˜ΆπŸ˜‡. When we were done with the project that brought us together, I offered to take us to an icecream spot- it would probably be the last time we were seeing so it was my way of saying "thanks". There I told her how I had felt about her when I first saw her and she was somewhat unsurprised and sa...
