Perfect Living

John  13:35 "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."

 The identity of every Christian is love(agape), the God-kind of love, the love that holds no reason for its nature. The above scriptural context shows Jesus telling us how everyone would know we belong to Him.Its quite amazing that Jesus never mentioned by prayer, preaching, or even praise/worship shall all men know we belong to Him, He says "Love". This is just remarkable, it shows the priority God puts on Love, " agape", the love that holds no reason for its nature.

    In our everyday living, we must act towards others ingenuously, not necessarily having an attachment to it. No matter the duration or length of tongues you speak, if you don't love others ingenuously, there's no sign you're a Christian, no matter how "strong" your preaching is, love cannot be substituted. Love is acted, it's shown.It's demonstrated. I love the picture the scriptures gives us about the early church, He says they "broke bread from house to house with singleness of heart" (Acts2:46), this is remarkable!!!.This is the Church Christ came to establish, little wonder He says in verse 47, "He added to the church daily such as should be saved." I reckon what makes the body of Christ grow isn't preaching but love. Act love towards others today, take out time to consciously walk in love. How deep is your love? Love is your identity with Christ. Do have a lovely day dear friend.

Just a few words... James 3:2-3(Amplified translation) For we all often stumble and fall and offend in many things. And if anyone does not offend in speech [never says the wrong things], he is a fully developed character and a perfect man, able to control his whole body and to curb his entire nature. If we set bits in the horses' mouths to make them obey us, we can turn their whole bodies about.
