SHINE YOUR LIGHT!!!

Matthew  5:15 "Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house."

While having a discussion with a friend yesterday, I made a reflection to the fact that God never really said we shouldn't show off our good deeds, what He said in context was not to show them off to men to gain praise and glory from men. He was speaking about the intent not the act. Of course, Jesus did a whole lot of good deeds that were seen of men, and those deeds were documented as well in scriptures, but when He was to be praised for it, He took not the praise, but diverted the praise to God. This shows us that  whatever we do for the impact of others should have God glorified. The scripture above shows that ''no one should really hide his good deeds'', Jesus says ''no man LIGHT a candle and HIDES IT under a bushel'', what does this signify? , "Light" there signifies "Good deeds", because He says in the next verse for "your light to so shine that men MAY SEE your good works and GLORIFY your Father in Heaven".
So friend, whenever you do a good or impact others, its okay to allow others see it and be inspired by it, not for your glory but for God's glory. The truth is many of us might really not have been inspired to do some things until we saw others do them, this is why I really don't encourage social media criticizing of charity " show off", I feel its a form of inspiration to others, even though some might do it for their own glory, that's an exception. So cause your good deeds to be seen and others inspired by it so we all can have a better world of good doers. Let your action be for inspiration and God's glory. Do not hide your light!!!πŸ˜…...Do have a great day ahead friend❀️

The Noble

Who is a noble person? Through Scripture references and inferences we'll embark on a journey that seeks to define and show us who God deems to be a noble person and why being one is an absolute no brainer, especially in this present noble-starved age. Pls note- the opinions presented in this article are derivations from the Scriptures and not a carnal fabrication or mere mental or cultural estimation of the author. You can look em up yourself to confirm the assertions and/or suggestions. The term noble/nobleman appears 40 times in the King James version of the Bible but it was first used in Exodus24:11 to describe certain "elders" who were to work alongside Moses in leading, guiding and directing the people of Israel according to the desires of God. Point to note is they were "leaders" and men of high repute often in the classification of princes and rulers over other people. So, if you're over anyone in leadership you're actually a noble save t...

Apostle Peter- Running 1

A blend of Bible stories, revelations and fiction (literature license) about Peter's life and somewhat complex choices and decisions. Sit back, relax, cappuccino and enjoy! And Peter was running again, away from the persecution that had once again broken out against the Church. Jesus had been long gone. He missed Him. He still had nostalgia and goose bumps whenever he remembered just how divine Jesus was. He had seen Jesus do a lot of amazing miracles but none quite like the last one- he and his other folks, some 50 of them watched as Jesus levitated into the heavens until no physical eyes could see him again. He said He was going to heaven and of course that was true- Peter knew now by deep conviction that he'd walked with God Himself. And for some reason he thought himself a friend of God. He knew he was going to see Jesus again sometime soon. There was no debate in his heart about this. He loved Jesus or perhaps God- they were one and the same persons to him now. He ...

PLB Stories presents: David- How Big is Your Stomach 2?

The PLB stories are a blend of God-inspired Bible stories, revelations and fiction (literature license). So seat back, relax, cappuccino and read away! David had a flash back of his early music days... The only thing or person If you may, David loved more than his music was the one who gave him the music- Yahweh. As a result David sang and played more about God and His revelations in his heart than he did anything else, like literally nothing came close... He didn't have affection for too many things- and the Lord was the all in all of his affections. He was often left alone with his father's sheep as his brothers hurried to the parade ground to join in the army processions. He loved the solitude, the gentle breeze and the sunset evenings, music came so naturally to him at such times, he never stressed his mind to compose great music but on such cool evenings it was even easier. He would compose and sing all evening till it was time to feed the sheep and then he would ...
