Take Responsibility

1 Samuel  17:20 "And David rose up early in the morning, and left the sheep with a keeper, and took, and went, as Jesse had commanded him;..."

God honors and values a man who has a sense of responsibility. One of the very first appearances of irresponsibility detested by God can be seen in the phrase made by Cain just shortly after the murder of his brother, Abel "Am I my brother's keeper"?(Gen4:9).
The context verse above gives an amazing understanding on the importance of responsibility, it shows David being told by his father Jesse to take food to his three brothers who were at the war between Israel and the Philistines but David however who was a caretaker of sheep looked for someone to leave his sheep with before leaving to meet his brothers. This is one vital aspect a lot of people tend to overlook, David didn't out of excitement to go see how the war looked, leave his sheep without being tended for, he looked for a man to leave them with, who would care for them while he was away. This looks similar to Jesus telling Peter to take care of His sheep(the Church) while He was away also. Friend, it's important to be responsible, you must be diligent to look over what you're left in charge of. If you've got a son/daughter, be responsible to train them till adulthood, if you've got a career, be responsible to follow up till the end, every great man is an addict of responsibility. Don't be a man who tries to avert blames when the call of responsibility, take responsibility for everything around you.Stay responsible. Do have a great day ahead

Count the Cost

Luke  14:28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? I'd never forget a knowledge I got in my Economics class while I was in my Pre-degree programme in 2013. The lecturer asked "what comes first, consumption or production?", without any hesitation, everyone shouted " Production ". The lecturer looking at us unsatisfied with some subtle grin on his face, asked " why?" , a guy raised his hand confidently, got up and said " because we produce before consumption can take place", the lecturer laughed, and we all for a minute looked bemused with certain indistinct chatters here and there, after some minutes, the lecturer called the young man and asked "so what happens when you produce and there's no one to consume it", and for about some few seconds, there was a seeming silence in the hall, you could hear a pin drop. The loud silence was fol...
