Breaking the edge

 1 Corinthians  10:13 "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."



Addictions aren't bad, there are good addictions, and there are bad addictions. However, while virtually no one will like to stop a good addiction, almost everyone involved in a bad/negative addiction at some point in time will always look for how to stop. You can be addicted to anything, but once it becomes something against divinity, your health, and humanity, it becomes a cause of concern. The first thing to know in breaking addictions are "addictions are broken with other addictions". An addiction is an action that takes over the brain and could have an effect on the body over a period of time. If you're possibly struggling to stop an addiction, the first thing you must know is for you to stop an addiction, you must replace it with another, addictions thrive on repetition. However, often times its not so easy to stop addictions, especially when they are negative.The first basic thing to do is " Pray", the scripture above shows there's no temptation that's too strong to overcome you. Secondly, find someone to talk to, someone you can trust, talking about addictions is the first step to deciding to quit, there really is no shame in speaking out, it shows your strength. No addiction supersedes the will to quit, however, there is a process. Keep staying ahead✨✨✨

Jesus, while speaking to listeners in John 6 talked of them eating his flesh and drinking his blood and how this would forever quench their hunger and thirst. Most of the people who heard this couldn't receive it, it seemed as if Jesus was trying to initiate them into some cult where they'd all be required to be cannibals. Yet Jesus, unapologetic as He always was didn't even try to break it down to their understanding, instead He said "those who hear and learn from my Father come to me".
