No Rent-free

Genesis  40:16 When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said unto Joseph, I also was in my dream, and, behold, I had three white baskets on my head:

40:17 And in the uppermost basket there was of all manner of bakemeats for Pharaoh; and the birds did eat them out of the basket upon my head.

We live in a very social world, however there's a clear boundary between socialization and societal pressure. Most people allow themselves victims of societal pressure. Others opinions about them or about something they want shapes their decisions which ought not to be. Taking a cue from the story above, quite popular, the baker who had a dream while in prison with Joseph and tells Joseph about the dream who interprets it for him. This dream is quite figurative, every time I think on this Scripture, the Bible says birds came to eat out of the baskets on the baker's head, what were the birds doing there?, reminds me of a particular saying "if you can't stop birds from flying over your head, you sure can stop them from staying on it", the birds were staying " rent-free" on the baker's head, and this singular act was instrumental in the negativity of the baker's dream. How significant this is to many people, people stay "rent-free" on their minds, someone doesn't like you, and it just can't make you rest, someone said something about you and your mind can't just find peace, they live rent-free in your mind, be in perfect control of your mind, decide who and what to allow live rent-free in your mind, no negativity should be entertained. You might not stop people from having opinions about you, but you sure can let their opinions not have you. Do have a beautiful week ahead.

Count the Cost

Luke  14:28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? I'd never forget a knowledge I got in my Economics class while I was in my Pre-degree programme in 2013. The lecturer asked "what comes first, consumption or production?", without any hesitation, everyone shouted " Production ". The lecturer looking at us unsatisfied with some subtle grin on his face, asked " why?" , a guy raised his hand confidently, got up and said " because we produce before consumption can take place", the lecturer laughed, and we all for a minute looked bemused with certain indistinct chatters here and there, after some minutes, the lecturer called the young man and asked "so what happens when you produce and there's no one to consume it", and for about some few seconds, there was a seeming silence in the hall, you could hear a pin drop. The loud silence was fol...
