It's hard for you to kick against the pricks!

Matthew  21:44  And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder

There are people whose forte is to criticize and find fault in anything that has to do with the church of Jesus Christ. The funny and ironic part of this is that some of these people are also 'Christians', then you wonder what Christianity are these folks practising. Some work for media houses, and sometimes are told to write against a certain Pastor or a certain Ministry, and then they go ahead. Some also use their social media platforms to make derogatory remarks on Churches, this ought not to be so. The scripture above comes to my mind every time I see these things, Jesus in His admonition said in paraphrase "anyone who falls on the stone(the church) will be broken, and then anyone who the stone(the church) falls upon will be crushed to powder",  this is huge. So many people wonder why they have seemingly made low progress over the years, some don't know they're suffering from certain actions they did against the Church in the past. The Church is connected to Jesus Christ, whatever affects the Church affects Jesus Christ. I love what Jesus told Paul on his way to Damascus. He said Acts  9:5 "...I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks." . Paul had been persecuting Christians prior to this encounter, but when Jesus would appear yo Him, Jesus said He(Paul) was persecuting Him, such glorious identifying! If you've developed an habit of talking against the Church, you should desist from it. Yes, there are certain times some 'Churches' do certain things not in line with God's word, but if it's a Church that has its principles from the Bible, refrain from speaking against such, lest you're broken or crushed to powder. Do have a great day ahead

Apostle Peter- Running 1

A blend of Bible stories, revelations and fiction (literature license) about Peter's life and somewhat complex choices and decisions. Sit back, relax, cappuccino and enjoy! And Peter was running again, away from the persecution that had once again broken out against the Church. Jesus had been long gone. He missed Him. He still had nostalgia and goose bumps whenever he remembered just how divine Jesus was. He had seen Jesus do a lot of amazing miracles but none quite like the last one- he and his other folks, some 50 of them watched as Jesus levitated into the heavens until no physical eyes could see him again. He said He was going to heaven and of course that was true- Peter knew now by deep conviction that he'd walked with God Himself. And for some reason he thought himself a friend of God. He knew he was going to see Jesus again sometime soon. There was no debate in his heart about this. He loved Jesus or perhaps God- they were one and the same persons to him now. He ...

The Noble

Who is a noble person? Through Scripture references and inferences we'll embark on a journey that seeks to define and show us who God deems to be a noble person and why being one is an absolute no brainer, especially in this present noble-starved age. Pls note- the opinions presented in this article are derivations from the Scriptures and not a carnal fabrication or mere mental or cultural estimation of the author. You can look em up yourself to confirm the assertions and/or suggestions. The term noble/nobleman appears 40 times in the King James version of the Bible but it was first used in Exodus24:11 to describe certain "elders" who were to work alongside Moses in leading, guiding and directing the people of Israel according to the desires of God. Point to note is they were "leaders" and men of high repute often in the classification of princes and rulers over other people. So, if you're over anyone in leadership you're actually a noble save t...

Going on to know Him

People easily judge other people when they don't know them. We all may be guilty of this. A Lotta times, we stereotype people by how they look, their dressing and outward mannerisms ever before we hear them speak. I have been shocked many times of how guilty I've been with this. The most recent of such a person I nearly badly stereotyped turned out to be such an incredible person, so different and special in her way and she helped me in many beautiful ways such that we became pretty cool friends in the space of just a few months but this was the same lady I almost thought was way away from my type of friends. We've all made such mistakes so don't look at me that wayπŸ˜ΆπŸ˜‡. When we were done with the project that brought us together, I offered to take us to an icecream spot- it would probably be the last time we were seeing so it was my way of saying "thanks". There I told her how I had felt about her when I first saw her and she was somewhat unsurprised and sa...
