The perfect example

"And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour." Ephesians  5:2

Christianity is a life of love. I reckon the power of God never flows without love in action. The scriptures talk about how Jesus taught His disciples on the right "sacrifice",  Matthew  5:23 "Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;  5:24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.". I remember the first time I ever saw this scripture, it demystified my understanding of God as just a Spirit, I found out that God really is a person, one who wants peace amongst all men, He says no matter what gift you bring to Him, if you're not right or in right terms with another person your gift will not be accepted. Hmmmnn, could this be the reason why many at times seem to pray and even give offerings and don't seem to get results. Well, the scripture is clear concerning love amongst all men. Yes, there are times you try to make peace with others and yet it seems they're just difficult to deal with, but its very different when you know you've got to make peace with others and yet you remain adamant. Christianity is a vehicle, Love is the engine. Do have a great day ahead.

Count the Cost

Luke  14:28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? I'd never forget a knowledge I got in my Economics class while I was in my Pre-degree programme in 2013. The lecturer asked "what comes first, consumption or production?", without any hesitation, everyone shouted " Production ". The lecturer looking at us unsatisfied with some subtle grin on his face, asked " why?" , a guy raised his hand confidently, got up and said " because we produce before consumption can take place", the lecturer laughed, and we all for a minute looked bemused with certain indistinct chatters here and there, after some minutes, the lecturer called the young man and asked "so what happens when you produce and there's no one to consume it", and for about some few seconds, there was a seeming silence in the hall, you could hear a pin drop. The loud silence was fol...
