Joshua 10:12 Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.
10:13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
I personally find the details of the story of the war between Israel and the Amorites particularly inspiring in a most amazing way. Joshua leading the Israelites who having defeated the Amorites for so long throughout the whole day, as the day began to wound up, He(Joshua) told the sun to "stay still", and the Bible says there was no sunset for a whole day, the sun never went down for a whole day, until the Israelites were done defeating the whole Amorites. God! This is Amazing! This is a picture of God's love superseding natural laws. Everything in nature has been set to work together for the good of God's creation, once you have a reason for something which works towards God's glory and will, nature will back you up. Just immediately after Jesus' baptism, God said, " This is my beloved Son, listen to Him ", God was telling not just mankind, but He was telling nature as well. This was why Jesus spoke to the fig Tree, and the fig Tree heard and also the storm, and the storm heard. You can speak to natural things and they would listen to you as long as you're in line with the will of God. Speak to natural things around you. Do have a great weekend ahead.
