2 Kings 3:26 And when the king of Moab saw that the battle was too sore for him, he took with him seven hundred men that drew swords, to break through even unto the king of Edom: but they could not.
3:27 Then he took his eldest son that should have reigned in his stead, and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great indignation against Israel: and they departed from him, and returned to their own land.
Did you ever read the story of the war between Israel and Moab? Such a touching story with a whole lot of nuggets to draw from. One story that's always made me know that though God has the final say, but He leaves some things on the Earth to the influence of Man. In this fascinating occurrence, God, having been sought by the Israelites about the war against Moab on the possibility of a victory or not had given the Israelites a victory nudge, and true to His word, when the war begun, the Israelites began prevailing against the Moabites greatly, however, when the Moabite King saw the war was going greatly against him, he offered his son as a sacrifice to his own god. That was the end of the war. The Bible says there was "great indignation against Israel". Now, the point here is, God never lied about Israel's victory, but Israel also had a role to play in bringing the picture God had for them to pass. A man who offers his blood as an offering is one is respected in the spirit realm, God clearly is against human sacrifice, the only human sacrifice ever accepted by God is the one He gave, God is challenged when a mortal gives only what He should give. No matter what God has said about you in that business or career, there are certain steps you must take in having an edge. Offerings are powerful(not human offerings please). Some offerings open doors that will not open easily. We'd talk more on this in tomorrow's nugget.
