Mind your business

1 Thessalonians  4:11  "And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;"

One of the hallmarks of successful people is focus & minding their businesses. A lot of times people spend time intruding or prying to others' affairs, some say "I'm not gossiping but I just feel we should talk about what this person is doing". I love a particular instance in the scriptures where Jesus perfectly demonstrated minding one's business, Luke  12:14 "And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?". As a man on a journey of greatness, you don't need to meddle into the affairs of others, however this doesn't mean you keep quiet when others are suffering injustice, but when its got to do with other people's matter and your opinion isn't sought, stay away and focus on your own work. A man who has time to meddle into other people's affairs will not have time to grow his own business. Show me a man who meddles into everyone's business, and I'd show you a man heading for irrelevance and poverty. You must focus on your own work, as we start a new week, focus on your own business, and ignore meddling into matters that don't concern you. Also, in addition, keep busybodies away from you, a busybody will always infect you with a whole lot of negativity. Do have a fruitful day ahead as you mind and grow your business.

Apostle Peter- Running 1

A blend of Bible stories, revelations and fiction (literature license) about Peter's life and somewhat complex choices and decisions. Sit back, relax, cappuccino and enjoy! And Peter was running again, away from the persecution that had once again broken out against the Church. Jesus had been long gone. He missed Him. He still had nostalgia and goose bumps whenever he remembered just how divine Jesus was. He had seen Jesus do a lot of amazing miracles but none quite like the last one- he and his other folks, some 50 of them watched as Jesus levitated into the heavens until no physical eyes could see him again. He said He was going to heaven and of course that was true- Peter knew now by deep conviction that he'd walked with God Himself. And for some reason he thought himself a friend of God. He knew he was going to see Jesus again sometime soon. There was no debate in his heart about this. He loved Jesus or perhaps God- they were one and the same persons to him now. He ...

The Noble

Who is a noble person? Through Scripture references and inferences we'll embark on a journey that seeks to define and show us who God deems to be a noble person and why being one is an absolute no brainer, especially in this present noble-starved age. Pls note- the opinions presented in this article are derivations from the Scriptures and not a carnal fabrication or mere mental or cultural estimation of the author. You can look em up yourself to confirm the assertions and/or suggestions. The term noble/nobleman appears 40 times in the King James version of the Bible but it was first used in Exodus24:11 to describe certain "elders" who were to work alongside Moses in leading, guiding and directing the people of Israel according to the desires of God. Point to note is they were "leaders" and men of high repute often in the classification of princes and rulers over other people. So, if you're over anyone in leadership you're actually a noble save t...

Going on to know Him

People easily judge other people when they don't know them. We all may be guilty of this. A Lotta times, we stereotype people by how they look, their dressing and outward mannerisms ever before we hear them speak. I have been shocked many times of how guilty I've been with this. The most recent of such a person I nearly badly stereotyped turned out to be such an incredible person, so different and special in her way and she helped me in many beautiful ways such that we became pretty cool friends in the space of just a few months but this was the same lady I almost thought was way away from my type of friends. We've all made such mistakes so don't look at me that way๐Ÿ˜ถ๐Ÿ˜‡. When we were done with the project that brought us together, I offered to take us to an icecream spot- it would probably be the last time we were seeing so it was my way of saying "thanks". There I told her how I had felt about her when I first saw her and she was somewhat unsurprised and sa...
