Matthew 6:7 "But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking." Have you ever had someone tell you to do something, and you said 'no', then the person tried to convince you with much speaking afterwards, and then you probably told the person, ''dear, no matter how much convincing you do, I'm still not doing that thing ". That becomes a root decision, no longer surface, it becomes a decision you take not because of that person but because of who you are. This is the exact scenario our scriptural context talks about. Don't find yourself journeying into unbelief, when you pray or ask God for something, don't believe talking too long about it to God will convince God to grant your request, when you ask once, believe it's done, and then stay in faith, however you can still talk about that same thing later to God not as a request but a communication of thanksgiving
