He calls us gods, kings, lights etc. Psalm 87:3 actually says, "Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah." The Bible is our sure go-to resource for motivation and inspiration. He never puts you down or make you feel worthless, dejected and unattractive, rather, He builds you up and encourages and believes in you even than you do in you. He only calls us absolutely wonderful names and decorates us so beautifully all the time. Gotta love Him (the Word, that is). Here in the opening verse He calls us judges. We are judges. If you are spiritual, He calls you a judge of all things (all situations, circumstances). You should not allow situations judge you, or pass sentence on you! You are the judge here! The pendulum will swing in the direction you choose and insist upon. Tell that situation what you want and compel

Sometimes, the pictures of war and turmoil, people (especially children) living with very deadly health issues such as cancer and HIV or those living in poverty and helplessness can be very disturbing indeed😟. I remember a story in the Bible where Jesus was faced with a man who was born blind (John 9). Actually the original manuscripts reveal that he was born without eyeballs in his eye sockets, just 2 holes on his face where his eyes should've been. Jesus' disciples were puzzled and grossly disturbed. "Who sinned", they asked, "himself or his parents?" Jesus' answer was "You're asking the wrong question. You're looking for someone to blame. Had to put up some amazing Scriptures about this in continuation of yesterday's PLB Confessions 106. Matthew5:16 says, let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father which is in heaven. We are the lights of the world but we need to shine more than ever before. We need to intensify our brightness and effect. Jesus enjoins us to "let" our lights "so" shine such that we become impossible to be neglected or overlooked. The point is, it is once again our role and responsibility to shine our light not God's. He has made us the light of the world and handed us the control switch to our light and requires of us in these days to tune up our incandescence for His glory! According to the Bible we (God's people) are the light of the world. Actually, Jesus said so Himself in Matthew 5:14,Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. So much has been said about love💞 yet so much more is required to be said, especially about divine love. There are different kinds of love but the PLB talks only about divine love all the time because that is the only authentic love that never fails and helps us attain our optimum potentials according to the Bible (Ephesians3:19). That it is divine love doesn't mean it must or can only be between God and man, no, not at all. Divine love simply means- God's kind, type and quality of love. This quality of love is replete in the Bible, especially in the person of Jesus as He related with God and people when He walked the streets of this world physically some 2000 years ago.  So in essence, when Christ lives in our hearts, His love becomes shed abroad in our hearts (Romans5:5) thereby overthrowing carnal human love and flushing it out of us and as a result, we realise we can only love like God.
