Journey to Yours'

Luke  16:12  "And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?" One of the hallmark's of honesty & transparency is duplication. A man who's dishonest with another man's business will never get to the position where he'd have his. This is more of a system than its a 'curse'. For example, one of the attributes of a devoted worker in a company is 'time management', a  diligent worker manages his time judiciously to meet up with targets given, now, a worker who never manages his time well to meet up target deadlines would never have executed it even if the company was his. As a worker, or vision-sharer in an establishment, you must work and execute jobs as though the success and failure of that establishment depends on you. You must carry the "we" mentality and not "I", the moment you fizzle into being a weak link in that establishment, you set up yourself for be

No worries!!!😎

2 Timothy  1:7 "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." I'm a firm believer that one of the most vital if not the most vital aspect of the human health is the mental health. Its so important to have a mind that's put together. A lot of times, there are challenges that come our way which test our mental capacity and strength, some times they are quite overwhelming, making it seem like we just go somewhere solitary to have a "cool off", however the scriptures promises something quite lovely. God says to those who accept Him in their lives, He has given "... a sound mind" , the phrase "sound mind" is translated from the Greek word " Sophronismos ", which means " a mental state well balanced with accurate judgement". This is the kind of mind you have in Christ. A mind configured to make accurate and sound judgement, a mind that's in the rest of God. Nothing should

The perfect way

John  13:35 "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."  The identity of every Christian is love(agape), the God-kind of love, the love that holds no reason for its nature. The above scriptural context shows Jesus telling us how everyone would know we belong to Him.Its quite amazing that Jesus never mentioned by prayer, preaching, or even praise/worship shall all men know we belong to Him, He says "Love". This is just remarkable, it shows the priority God puts on Love, " agape", the love that holds no reason for its nature. In our everyday living, we must act towards others ingenuously, not necessarily having an attachment to it. No matter the duration or length of tongues you speak, if you don't love others ingenuously, there's no sign you're a Christian, no matter how "strong" your preaching is, love cannot be substituted. Love is acted, its shown. It's demonstrated. I love the picture

Take Responsibility

1 Samuel  17:20 "And David rose up early in the morning, and left the sheep with a keeper, and took, and went, as Jesse had commanded him;..." God honors and values a man who has a sense of responsibility. One of the very first appearances of irresponsibility detested by God can be seen in the phrase made by Cain just shortly after the murder of his brother, Abel "Am I my brother's keeper"?(Gen4:9).   The context verse above gives an amazing understanding on the importance of responsibility, it shows David being told by his father Jesse to take food to his three brothers who were at the war between Israel and the Philistines but David however who was a caretaker of sheep looked for someone to leave his sheep with before leaving to meet his brothers. This is one vital aspect a lot of people tend to overlook, David didn't out of excitement to go see how the war looked, leave his sheep without being tended for, he looked for a man to leave them with, who would

Diligence

Proverbs  22:29  "Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men." Someone once said, "Talent brings you before people, diligence brings you before kings", how true I agreed with her. Diligence is focus and putting in of hardwork to your work. The scripture above tells the reward of Diligence. Diligence makes you important. It makes you recognized for something. The challenge with the present generation is " Fast ", everything comes Fast, from Fast foods to Fast cars to Fast schools/classes to Fast houses, the list becomes endless. Even most Youths don't want to labour but get rich quick, but you can never substitute any formula for Diligence. Diligence is God's will for you, God has created every man a success but Diligence comes with the package. Every great man ever recorded used by God in the Bible was Diligent. Perhaps you've been Diligent about your work, visions and you're a

Living Temples

John  2:19  "Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." God is the source of all wisdom. To know God is to know wisdom. Any 'wisdom' outside God is vague. In the old Testament, the people then were allowed to build a Temple to worship God in it because His presence wasn't everywhere, but God in His accurate wisdom, had a better plan coming up. He didn't want to dwell in buildings made by hands, He wanted to dwell in human beings. The verse above sheds more light on this when Jesus tells the pharisees who were all about killing Him, He told them to destroy 'this temple', and in three days, he'd raise it up, this is remarkable, Jesus was referring to His body, He called His body, temple. However the Pharisees hadn't had their wisdom updated, they were clung to the obsolete understanding of 'Temple'. It's important to know that every man is a potential temple for God to dwell, when yo

"Ingratia"

Proverbs  25:28  "He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls." One of the greatest test of an excellent personality is "self-control". Self-control is the ability to be in perfect mastery of your emotions and your mind. The scriptures likens a man without self-control to a city that is broken down and without walls. In ancient times and even now, no matter how strong a city was militarily, if the city had no walls, it was vulnerable and very open to attacks, this was why Jericho's strongest defense was her walls. So when the Bible likens a "city without walls" to one who has no self-control it gives a picture of one who is vulnerable and open to attacks.   As a Christian, you must have self-control, do not be angered by everything, do not be infuriated by everything, do not spend time giving a "piece of your mind" to everyone until everyone now has a "piece of your mind" . A man wh

Living Justified

Luke  12:20  "But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?" Did you ever read the whole story of the above verse?. Its such a remarkable one. Jesus talks about a rich man who expanded his assets, yet a sentence of death was passed to him by God, its a remarkable story, you should read it. Question is, why did God pass a sentence of "death" on him?, Is God against prosperity?, No, is God wicked?, of course not, so why did God pass a sentence of death on him?. He passed a sentence of death on him because the man had no justified reason to be alive anymore. Shortly, after the man had expanded His assets, He said "And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry." (Lk12:19). Did you see that? The man wasn't living for any course anymore, He was living just for EATING. Friend, you should know

Stay Resilient

Proverbs  13:12  "Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life." Dreams do come true. Expectations do manifest. A desire well followed to the end yields result if not jettisoned prematurely. Taking a look at the recent success of both the English Premier League Champions, Liverpool and the English Championship Champions, Leeds United. Both teams share very similar story in their quest to their recent victory, they would both talk about how for years they never stopped working on themselves, taking lessons from previous seasons on why it didn't work, but finally both teams clinch their respective league titles after about over 20 years for one and 16 years for the other. Friend, these things aren't just mere happenings, they do show the power of consistency supported with resilience. Being dogged is a prerequisite to any form of victory, you don't give up because it didn't work, if you believe in it, you'd stick to i

A Dial away

Psalms  18:6 "In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears." Sometimes there are certain decisions made that just seem to be wrong. Sometimes, some of these decisions even get in the way of a particular 'achievement', nevertheless I have learnt and witnessed over time that with God there's always a way to success even in the tightest place. God is wise enough always to make situations turn out good always for those who trust in Him no matter how much they've messed up. The Psalmist above says something profound, He says "in my distress, I called upon the LORD...he heard my voice..." , the most important thing in that verse apart from the fact the psalmist calls unto God is the fact that GOD HEARD. This is simply remarkable, God ALWAYS hears the call of those who needs His help, much more His children. No matter the situation that seemingly wrong decis

Protected

Psalms  91:1 "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." 91:4 "He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler." As a believer, one thing you must come to agreement with is truly, God protects His own. Irrespective of whatever you hear others say, you must come into the agreement that God protects His own. You know some people usually would say, "well,if there really is a God, why did He allow that woman die, why did He allow that man die", well, God loved Enoch so much that He 'took' him, what about that?, God loved Moses so much that He told Moses it was time for Him to come to Heaven, what about that?. A lot of people have associated death with wickedness from God which should not be so. God's protection isn't deficient by a man's death. In the Psalm above, the Psalmist likens the protection of God like tha

The Lines

Psalms  16:6 "The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage." A man whose connected to God has a glorious heritage. Its an ancestry of greatness. King David in the understanding of this acclaimed that the lines are fallen unto him in pleasant places because he has a goodly heritage. 'Lines' here means portions, for example, if you were to share a land with someone, and the person took a part, and then you took another part, fortunately the part you now took, you discovered gold on that part of the land, you can say "the lines fell unto you in a pleasant place", meaning your portion of the land is a blessing, you got something extra. This is so incredible, now its clear why Isaac dug and got water in a time of famine whereas others didn't. Friend, can this be true?. Yes it is!, emphatically yes!. A man connected to God has a glorious connection that makes things work for him. As you journey in your business and dealings in

Keep the Fellowship

Psalms  133:1 "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!" 133:2 "It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;" The beauty of Christianity is in fellowship. Well, due to certain 'developments' around the globe, there's been restrictions on public gatherings, however, this should never put an embargo on fellowshipping with one another as Christians. I've often thought to myself, the internet came at the very right time, the internet is for the advantage of believers. Now, with the internet, we can reach much more people with the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. Some people, otherwise who wouldn't have come to Church physically might most definitely stumble on a Christian event online and then believe in Jesus. For example, I heard of a lady who didn't go to Church because she was of a different religion a

The Light of Life

John  8:12  "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." The world is typified as a room that's dark with treasures in it. As you know, if you walk in a dark room you don't know, you're most likely to stumble and fall due to the fact there's no light in there to help you see and locate your way. Life evolves always, and really no man can say to fully understand life except with God's influence and guidance. Jesus is the light of the world, He gives direction to a fulfilling and progressive life in the midst of a clearly uncertain world. Many wrong decisions have been made in life due to lack of proper counsel, but with Jesus, you are sure to always make the right decisions as you journey in expectation of a glorious life.    Ranging from Finances, Marriage, Relationships, Business, you can trust the counsel of Christ to lead you to the right choic

Dreams Never Die

Joel  2:28  "...your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:" One of the most awe-striking piece I ever found in the Bible is the story of Moses before his call to deliver Israel. Think about this, Moses had a passion, a dream to deliver his people from oppression, he tried so hard doing it as a Youth, but nothing happened, in fact he fled Egypt. Now many years later, at the age of 80 when Moses was getting ready to retire in life, taking care of Sheep, He then hears this same God He must have felt should have helped him achieve his dream while younger call him to come and achieve that same dream, I want to believe, Moses must have been a little disappointed, hence he gave numerous excuses for not wanting to go anymore, if God came while he was younger, he most likely wouldn't have given any excuse. Moses, Moses, Moses, well you could understand him.πŸ˜… Well, this is quite incredible, the scripture above says "...your old men shall dream dreams&q

Road to Increase

Proverbs  11:24  "There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty." One basic law in life is you become better in whatever you teach others. Its a truth!...Proven by many who have tried it. Then why is it that sometimes, when some people are asked about their success stories, they say "Its God", well, we clearly would not deny God is a very critical factor to success, however God Himself has set up principles for success. For example God has said that, He that would not work, should not eat(2Thess3:10). So a man just attributing his success to God without sharing with others some nuggets of his success is doing himself even more harm than good. Well, some people feel hoarding their knowledge keeps them ahead in that field, which is a great falsehood. Knowledge hoarded without being shared leads to depreciation. One secret of those who increase everyday is sharing with others. The scripture abov

Endless Opportunities

Ecclesiastes  11:6 "In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good." Many heresies hold in our world today, and one of such is the infamous saying "opportunities come but once". This is one of the greatest lies ever told in the history of mankind. Opportunities never come but once, however opportunities can be missed, but opportunities don't come but once, opportunities can come at anytime and everytime, in fact opportunities abound, all we have are mostly unprepared people. A prepared person can always create an atmosphere of endless opportunities for himself. Opportunities abound in our world today, all that's required is a prepared mindset to fertilize such opportunities when they arise to birth productivity and greatness. In addition, not all opportunities that look too good to be true are falsehood.   For example, we live i

Value for Value

Matthew  7:6  "...neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you." Everyday of your life should be geared towards improving yourself, and as you improve yourself, you should also NOT shortchange yourself. A major challenge that holds in our world today is many don't understand the difference between self-confidence and pride. Pride and Self-confidence are two totally different things. As you develop yourself, you should exchange your value for nothing less, it doesn't matter how you're looked at, its not pride, its called self-confidence. Jesus says "cast not your pearls before swine" meaning do not give precious things to don't who don't value it. You must exchange value for value. You must give value to those when understand what you're bringing to the table, do not shortchange yourself. If you would discipline yourself to add value to yourself, you can discipline yourself not

You can

Philippians  4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Christ is a person and also a place. When you become a Christian, you receive a person and also at the same time, you come into a place, A place called Christ. In this place, i.e in Christ, lies all possibility and ability. You must understand as a Christian that whatever business or job you do, it must yield increase because Christ is also in that business as long as its a business that's in line with God's will. You have come to a place called Christ, this is a place where prosperity and endless possibilities are domiciled. Christ gives you the advantage and ace in your business sphere. In your job, you have the extra benefit. Nevertheless, this doesn't suggest any mindset of indolence on your path. You must put in effort to have the extra edge you have being manifest. Inculcate this mindset as you continue on your work, and know that all things are possible as long as Christ is with you and for

Bones

Ezekiel  37:4  Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.    Ezekiel  37:7  So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. "Bones" in scripture refers to situations. There is a difference between the verse "bone of my bones"(Gen2:23) and "bones" as used in Ezekiel 37. Its all entrenched in the right understanding and application of scripture language.    Ezekiel 37 is one of the most profound parts of the Bible which teaches on the importance of Prophecy. The Prophet Ezekiel was taken to  a place full of dry bones, and then God told him to speak(prophesy) to the bones, and he did and the bones came alive again. Now, this is so profound, it gives the understanding of the mastery of words over situations. Words are very important in situations, the Bible says God spoke to the Prophet Ezekiel an

Let us go to the other side

Mark  4:35 "And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side."     The verse above is the beginning of the story of Jesus travelling with His Disciples from one side of a lake to another, which as they journeyed in the boat, a storm rose and threatened the peace of the boat that they all were terrified of Death and had to wake "sleeping" Jesus up, who then woke up and calmed the storm. This occurrence is quite remarkable, it shows the Lordship of the Jesus( the Word) over any situation. Jesus had told them "Let us go to the other side", so it didn't matter what would happen on the way, the point was they were going to the other side. Friend, sometimes God doesn't talk to you about the process when He gives you a vision, because the details of the process are inconsequential to the authenticity of the vision. Though, there is a process to accomplishing your vision, but the process isn't a verifie

Who Said?

Genesis  3:11 "And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?" Most often than not, there are people we usually trust their "verdicts" on anything we do or go through, or those we feel are very good to tell us what thy think about us. Have you  ever dressed up and looked in the mirror and felt good, then you asked someone else, "how do I look?", and the person says, " well, ok" and you expected a much ecstatic response from the person or the person even passed a derogatory remark even after you felt good with what you saw in the mirror. The scripture above typifies a scenario like that, after Adam & Eve ate the fruit God said not to eat, the first question God asked Adam after Adam said he was naked was, "Who told you you were naked?", this wasn't a coincidence, God asked this because He never told Adam He was naked. Friend, God created a perfec

For a Cause not Applause

Galatians  6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Sometimes it could be so hard when you are all about doing good and being a blessing to others and it seems as though you're not being appreciated for it. The scripture above gives the possibility for this. However it also tells us the right mindset to have while we are at our good deeds, He says ''let us not be weary in well doing...". As a person, live for a cause not for applause. Do not do things to necessarily get something in return. The point you do something for others without setting eyes on a reward is the greatest point of maturity. You must do things because its a part of you, not for something you return. When you do things not because you expect something in return, you would never get disappointed, and as a result of that you'd always be happy with the fact you're in perfect control of your decisions & emotions. However, God promises someth

Dare to Believe

John  20:25 "The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe." The disciple, Thomas in the Bible is often mostly associated  with "doubting/unbelief",  nevertheless, I must really say almost anyone who had such a vivid encounter of the crucifixion of Jesus on the cross who saw Him die in such a vicarious manner would have doubted the same way, need I say, even the disciples who believed had to see Jesus physically before they believed that Jesus had truly risen. Now, the point here is after such witnessing of such a horrendous death, none of them could easily believe because of what they witnessed physically, even though Jesus had told them earlier He was going to resurrect.  Sometimes, it's hard for us to believe certain things even after God has said certain specif

The God-approved Attitude

Hebrews  13:2  "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. " Some people are often clouded with the habit of being nice to just who they know, some even say "the devil you know is better than the angel you don't know", that's so ironical, the very fact its been declared as 'the devil' makes him worse than 'the angel' you don't know already. The scripture above gives God's perfect mindset to our daily relationship with the outside world. It says 'BE NOT FORGETFUL to ENTERTAIN STRANGERS', it then says for some have entertained ANGELS UNAWARES. Did you see that?, the Bible shows that the 'Angel' you do not know would always be better than the 'devil' you know. As a Person who walks in God's stead, you must be nice to everyone, you must entertain strangers, 'entertain strangers' doesn't mean to naively call everyone into your house to entertain or all

Shinning and Productive!!!

Proverbs  4:18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day . As a Christian, you must recognize the path that's been carved for you. As you journey in the affairs or your life, you must come into the consciousness that your path is one that's lit up. Your path shines. However, the presence of light is not the necessary absence of challenges. Do not confuse challenges for problems. Jesus had challenges while on earth, Paul had same, David had same, Elijah had same, etc Nevertheless, these are people who had beautiful lives as they journeyed the face of the Earth. Challenges are a stepping stone to victories and testimonies. Did you ever play a computer game that required you to scale through numerous obstacles to get to the next level, you understand that joy you experience when you get into a new level😁.     As you journey into your week, let your challenges be a springboard into an avalanche of glorious testimonies for you,

Taking the Virtual edge

Psalms  133:1 "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!" 133:2 "It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;" The beauty of Christianity is in fellowship. Stay Content!!!

1 Timothy  6:6 "But godliness with contentment is great gain."  6:7 "For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out." Have you ever taken ample time to study THE LIFESTYLE of Jesus Christ?. I believe He is the perfect model and standard of a life worth living. He never placed so much interest in material gains, as a matter of fact, He once said "the life of a man doesn't consist of the abundance of things he possesses". However, we live in a generation where even most people who believe in Him are so carried away with flashy things. Many, even go as far as saying , " He was poor so I could be rich, so Jesus lived a poor life, so I should be rich", of course that's not the real meaning of "He was poor so you should be rich". Jesus wasn't poor, He only became " spiritually poor ON THE CROSS" for the world's sake. But He wasn't financially or materially poor, nevertheless He

Power of Thoughts

2 Corinthians  10:5 "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ" "Thoughts are pictures of the mind with constructive or destructive possibilities which have power with the emotions"- Pastor Chris Oyakhilome You know, thoughts are so powerful. A Man's day can be ruined with a thought, even if the thought wasn't true. For instance, if you were a student, and a classmate of yours' came in and said, he just saw a result of yours' which you had an 'F', funny enough, even though if that classmate came to lie to you, that information already creates a thought of a 'carry-over' for you, EVEN IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE RESULT. You most likely might have a gloomy day with such NEWS. Friend, the scripture above tells you what to do with such thoughts, every thought that doesn't bring glory to you and God must be brou

LOVING THE CARRIER

"You can't get something a man has without loving him" - Pastor David Ibieyomie One thing I had to consciously train myself growing up in much later years of my Faith is focusing on the good things done by men and learning from those. Any gift you covet, must attract your loving the carrier, be it in ministry, sports, education, etc. There's no doubt that yes, sometimes people make mistakes, some times even often that not, these mistakes are glaring, but it's the gift you desire not the mistake, you learn on the gift, take a cue from their mistakes made but you must love them as carriers of the gift not necessarily their dealings. I strongly believe that if David had harmed Saul while he saw him at the cave sleeping even though he was anointed, he wouldn't have become King, need be say, the anointing upon him(David) made him do the right thing at such. David showed that no matter how grave a man's mistakes are, if you covet a gift or position they carry, y

The New Rain!!!

1 Kings  18:41 "And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain." God's plan for you is always good, good , good. No matter the situation you went through in the past, or may be presently facing, there's still and always a plan of good from God for you. As we journey into the second half of the Year, I hear God say to you, "there's an abundance of rain".  'Rain' in scriptures signifies blessings, and really not just blessings, but an avalanche of blessings that come as a result of God's decision to make you noticed as a result of these blessings. Well, its being a challenging and tough year for the world especially with the challenge of the Coronavirus, which led to many economies experiencing huge challenges, but I hear God say,  He has revived the nations in His mercy, and He has chosen to put His chosen ones at the forefront of the blessings to be experienced.    So friend, get ready for an
