Do not journey into unbelief

Matthew  6:7 "But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking." Have you ever had someone tell you to do something, and you said 'no', then the person tried to convince you with much speaking afterwards, and then you probably told the person, ''dear, no matter how much convincing you do, I'm still not doing that thing ". That becomes a root decision, no longer surface, it becomes a decision you take not because of that person but because of who you are.  This is the exact scenario our scriptural context talks about. Don't find yourself journeying into unbelief, when you pray or ask God for something, don't believe talking too long about it to God will convince God to grant your request, when you ask once, believe it's done, and then stay in faith, however you can still talk about that same thing later to God not as a request but a communication of thanksgiving

The Communion of Dominion

1 Corinthians  11:24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. 11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. The secret of the power of Christianity is entrenched in the communion. The communion which symbolizes the blood and body of Jesus is taken often to 'show' the Lord Jesus' death till He comes. Now, this is very remarkable, notice, it doesn't say to 'show' the Lord's death till we go to Heaven. It says till He comes. The life of Jesus on Earth was one of total dominion and authority, He made the will of God known to man which is to live in absolute dominion. However, the life Man had prior to the arrival of Jesus could not l

A glut of opportunities

Ecclesiastes  11:6 "In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good." Many heresies hold in our world today, and one of such is the infamous saying "opportunities come but once". This is one of the greatest lies ever told in the history of mankind. Opportunities never come but once, however opportunities can be missed, but opportunities don't come but once, opportunities can come at anytime and everytime, in fact opportunities abound, all we have are mostly unprepared people. A prepared person can always create an atmosphere of endless opportunities for himself. Opportunities abound in our world today, all that's required is a prepared mindset to fertilize such opportunities when they arise to birth productivity and greatness. In addition, not all opportunities that look too good to be true are falsehood. For example, we live i

Temple Revealed

John  2:19  Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.  The revelation of Jesus in the New Testament is the complete will of God being made manifest to man. Our context verse gives us a picture of what has always been on God's mind concerning "the Temple". Rightly known that the Temple from the old Testament period has always been a place/building where God is worshipped, always regarded a place of sanctity and piety. The particular Temple Jesus was being reprimanded for by the Jewish leaders had been built for 46 years, however Jesus in His response to the Jewish leaders spoke about building it back up in 3 days. Well, was Jesus being literal or figurative? I honestly would say the former because Jesus meant every word He said, however, He was pointing to the fact that there was going to be a new " world order", God wasn't going to be recognizing the Temple made with human hands anymore but the 'Temple&

Life-Guard❤️

Psalms  91:1 "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." 91:4 "He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler." As a believer, one thing you must come to agreement with is truly, God protects His own. Irrespective of whatever you hear others say, you must come into the agreement that God protects His own. You know some people usually would say, "well,if there really is a God, why did He allow that woman die, why did He allow that man die", well, God loved Enoch so much that He 'took' him, what about that?, God loved Moses so much that He told Moses it was time for Him to come to Heaven, what about that?. A lot of people have associated death with wickedness from God which should not be so. God's protection isn't deficient by a man's death. In the Psalm above, the Psalmist likens the protection of God like t

Be Nice😎

Hebrews  13:2  "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." Some people are often clouded with the habit of being nice to just who they know, some even say "the devil you know is better than the angel you don't know", even if it's used in a figurative context, it's still ironically hilarious😅, the very fact he's been declared 'the devil' makes him worse than 'the angel' you don't know already. The scripture above gives God's perfect mindset to our daily relationship with the outside world. It says 'BE NOT FORGETFUL to ENTERTAIN STRANGERS', it then says for some have entertained ANGELS UNAWARES. Did you see that?, the Bible shows that the 'Angel' you do not know would always be better than the 'devil' you know. As a Person who walks in God's stead, you must be nice to everyone, you must entertain strangers, 'entertain strangers' doesn't m

Strive For Excellence

Genesis  1:31 "And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good..."  Exceptionalism is a fruit of an addiction to excellence. Well, while it's so true there is grace, however, there is also a big room for "personal excellence". Excellence is and should be the standard for anyone who chooses to go far. Excellence brings exceptionalism which then leads to a unique brand. It's so sad that most people have thrown the culture of excellence to the winds at the expense of just making "ends meet" even if it requires cutting corners to get a job done. As a person, I value excellence over finishing a job "on-time". While " Timeliness" is a very important value to have, "Excellence" is quite different, it's unique, Excellence is you when you have it . I remember couple of days ago, I was "doing" dishes, I had finished and left the Kitchen, then I remembered, while I cleaned the sink, it seemed

Built to shine

Proverbs  4:18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. As a Christian, you must recognize the path that's been carved for you. As you journey in the affairs or your life, you must come into the consciousness that your path is one that's lit up. Your path shines. However, the presence of challenges is not the absence of light. Do not confuse challenges for problems. Jesus had challenges while on earth, Paul had same, David had same, Elijah had same, etc Nevertheless, these are people who had beautiful lives as they journeyed the face of the Earth. Challenges are a stepping stone to victories and testimonies. Did you ever play a computer game that required you to scale through numerous obstacles to get to the next level, you understand that joy you experience when you get into a new level😁.   As you journey into your day, let your challenges be a springboard into an avalanche of glorious testimonies for you, because thr

The Gospel of Jesus Made Simple 🤓

God makes man like Himself using earth and air. God loves man, He loves to chill and hang out with man. God tells man what to do and what not to do. Satan tempts man. Man messes up and does the one thing he’s not allowed to do. Sin enters into the world through man and introduces death on all creation. The wages of sin is death. Death is separation from God. All creation is contaminated with sin and can barely relate with God at all. God has a plan to reconcile man and all things to Himself again... or better still create new men to be even more like Him than the first man was, this time infallible to sin or the devil. God conceives man by His Word through His Spirit in a virgin’s womb. This man is totally supernatural, a new breed of being. He’s God in human flesh, unprecedented. This man is called Jesus (meaning Saviour). Jesus goes around proving through many signs that He’s all of man’s saviour. He dies for man and all creation becoming sin itself on the death cross. He destroys si

Dreams Never Die

Joel  2:28  "...your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:" One of the most awe-striking piece I ever found in the Bible is the story of Moses before his call to deliver Israel. Think about this, Moses had a passion, a dream to deliver his people from oppression, he tried so hard doing it as a Youth, but nothing happened, in fact he fled Egypt. Now many years later, at the age of 80 when Moses was getting ready to retire in life, taking care of Sheep, He then hears this same God He must have felt should have helped him achieve his dream while younger call him to come and achieve that same dream, I want to believe, Moses must have been a little disappointed, hence he gave numerous excuses of not wanting to go anymore, if God came while he was younger, he most likely wouldn't have given any excuse. This is just so incredible, the scripture above says "...your old men shall dream dreams". Friend, what I've found in scriptures and life

You're A Profit-Maker!!!

Proverbs  14:23 "In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury." Labour is anything you exercise either physical, mental or spiritual action on. The scripture above shows something remarkable about Labour. It says, "in ALL labour there is profit..." . This is great stuff. A lot of times people look at the "tasking" aspect of labour, however, the Bible says in all labour, there is profit. It didn't say, in all labour, there is loss. He says " profit", someone might say but there are certain times loss are incurred in labour, well, the Bible says "in all labour, there is PROFIT", so what does this mean? It means no matter what you've experienced, you must not accept anything less than " Profit" alone, God's will for us is profit in any and every labour. You know, personally in my own experience, I've had businesses I made profit in, there are some that probably didn't go as

Love the carrier

1 Samuel  24:12 "The LORD judge between me and thee, and the LORD avenge me of thee: but mine hand shall not be upon thee." "You can't get something a man has without loving him" - Pastor David Ibieyomie One thing I had to consciously train myself growing up in much later years of my Faith is focusing on the good things done by men and learning from those. Any gift you covet, must attract your loving the carrier, be it in ministry, sports, education, etc. There's no doubt that yes, sometimes people make mistakes, some times even often that not, these mistakes are glaring, but it's the gift you desire not the mistake, you learn on the gift, take a cue from their mistakes made but you must love them. I strongly believe that if David had harmed Saul while he saw him at the cave sleeping even though he was anointed, he wouldn't have become King or even been a good King, need be say, the anointing upon him(David) made him do the right thing as such. David

No Doubts

John  20:25 "The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe." The disciple, Thomas in the Bible is often mostly associated  with "doubting/unbelief",  nevertheless, I must really say almost anyone who had such a vivid encounter of the crucifixion of Jesus on the cross who saw Him die in such a vicarious manner would have doubted the same way, need I say, even the disciples who believed had to see Jesus physically before they believed that Jesus had truly risen. Now, the point here is after such witnessing of such a horrendous death, none of them could easily believe because of what they witnessed physically, even though Jesus had told them earlier He was going to resurrect. Sometimes, it's hard for us to believe certain things even after God has said certain speci

Nature answers to You

Joshua  10:12 Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.   10:13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. I personally find the details of the story of the war between Israel and the Amorites particularly inspiring in a most amazing way. Joshua leading the Israelites who having defeated the Amorites for so long throughout the whole day, as the day began to wound up, He(Joshua) told the sun to "stay still", and the Bible says there was no sunset for a whole day, the sun never went down for a whole day, until the Israelites were done defeating the whole Amorites. God! This is Amazing! This is a picture

No other Name

Acts  4:12  "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." I once heard a preacher say "if you don't know Jesus on Earth, when you die, who would you say you're looking for at Heaven's gate?". It was quite a touching statement. Some things are just what they are, no matter how much we try to 'sugarcoat' God's love, the scriptures still maintains, there is no other name given amongst men for them to be saved(from eternal damnation) except the name of "Jesus". So this gives an understanding, that the name of Jesus is beyond just the name of the Son of God, but also the only name that guarantees God's saving power. The name of Jesus is God's saving power. You know, I've been asked countless times by people, are "Christians" the only ones to make Heaven?, and I've always pointed out John14:6 without any stutter. True Christianity

The Optimist

2 Kings  7:1  "Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, Tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria ." Optimism is one very important ingredient in every progress minded person. However, certain challenges and situations often times make it seem a little tough to stay optimistic. Nevertheless, a man who stays focused on the power of God to always make situations beautiful would never regret. The scripture above tells of a time in the history of Samaria where there was such an awkward famine, one that led to even people eating each other, however during such a nebulous quagmire, the Prophet Elisha gave a word from God that by the next day, there was going to be prosperity. It was quite hard to believe to the extent that someone even doubted and said "even if God were to open the windows of Heaven it would not happen", you should read the whole

Self-Positivity

Proverbs  27:2 "Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips"  The greatest criticism of you if there be any should come from you, the greatest praise of you should come from others; and not vice versa. The above scripture alludes to that. Never allow another man the right to pass the slightest inhumane remarks about you in any way, even your mistakes are your mistakes not their's, so no one is qualified enough to pass a"judgement" against you. This was the reason behind Jesus' response in John8:7. No matter how grave your past errors or "seeming present challenges" are,  only two people have the right to criticize or judge you(i.e God & You), and God won't criticize/judge you, He's your ever present Help(Ps46:1), don't criticize or judge yourself either because you need all the strength you can muster for your journey(Pro17:22). Stay in charge of your emotions. I believe this is why lad

Always Prepared!!!

1 Samuel  17:26 "David asked some soldiers standing nearby, ''what will a man get for killing this Philistine and stop him from insulting our people?''..." (CEV) "What will a man get for killing this Philistine?" , a question every man on the field wanted to ask, but only one man could. I heard a man say yesterday " opportunities don't come until you come", I was like "bang"!😅 . I draw inspiration not just from the anointing that worked in David prior to his defeating Goliath but on the process he had gone through. David was always a prepared man. I think we all focus on the anointing that worked in him before he killed Goliath than his attitude of being "always prepared". A man who was always ready to kill anything that came his way to harm needed no nudge to fight a Giant, I reckon David didn't go out against the Giant because He felt he had been anointed, He went out against the Giant because He was always

Understanding Offerings

1Chr21:24 But David replied, "No! I want to pay you what they're worth. I can't just take something from you and then offer the LORD a sacrifice that cost me nothing" (CEV) So yesterday we got talking about the role you have to play in bringing certain things to pass, even when God has said them, and it led us to talking about "Offerings". Offerings aren't necessarily monetary even though they could be, in our world today, when offerings are mentioned, the first thing that comes to our mind is " money", but offering isn't just money. Offering in relation to God is something of worth TO YOU that you give to Him FROM A HEART OF GRATITUDE. God is a Spirit, and its important sometimes we understand the dynamics of the spiritual realm. I once watched the movie "gods of Egypt", and a part that got me thinking in the movie was the afterlife where the gods asked everyone of them who died and wanted to pass on to the afterlife " wha

You have a role to play

2 Kings  3:26 And when the king of Moab saw that the battle was too sore for him, he took with him seven hundred men that drew swords, to break through even unto the king of Edom: but they could not.   3:27 Then he took his eldest son that should have reigned in his stead, and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great indignation against Israel: and they departed from him, and returned to their own land. Did you ever read the story of the war between Israel and Moab? Such a touching story with a whole lot of nuggets to draw from. One story that's always made me know that though God has the final say, but He leaves some things on the Earth to the influence of Man. In this fascinating occurrence, God, having been sought by the Israelites about the war against Moab on the possibility of a victory or not had given the Israelites a victory nudge, and true to His word, when the war begun, the Israelites began prevailing against the Moabites greatly, however, wh

Pay any price for inspiration

Proverbs  23:23 Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding" My Pastor back on campus once said something profound, he said "Pay any price for inspiration", as simple as this statement is, it carries a lot of power and even being backed up by the scriptures itself. Inspiration is very important, most often times, people laugh off those who inspire others through teachings or experiences. Some times, people even take a jab at " motivational speakers ", saying " well, all they know how to do is talk", well, do you know inspiration isn't found everywhere?. Have you heard a fool speak?, the Bible talks about staying away from those you perceive foolishness from their lips. The fact you see someone inspiring others doesn't mean he/she is a talkative, some people are specially gifted of God to inspire others because God has set an aspect of Man's journey in life to be triggered by INSPIRATION. Inspiration is

Breaking the edge

1 Corinthians  10:13 "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." Addictions aren't bad, there are good addictions, and there are bad addictions. However, while virtually no one will like to stop a good addiction, almost everyone involved in a bad/negative addiction at some point in time will always look for how to stop. You can be addicted to anything, but once it becomes something against divinity, your health, and humanity, it becomes a cause of concern. The first thing to know in breaking addictions are "addictions are broken with other addictions". An addiction is an action that takes over the brain and could have an effect on the body over a period of time. If you're possibly struggling to stop an addiction, the first thing you must know is for you to stop an a

Humanity

Luke  10:33 "But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,.." "Spirituality" is never an immunity to the values of humanity. As a matter of fact, real spirituality respects humanity. The verse above is a part of the popular story of "the good Samaritan" . The amazing thing about this parable is that Jesus clearly gives a picture of "spirituality" and "humanity", you should read the story if you haven't read it. A priest and a levite had come earlier and saw the wounded man, and did nothing, but a Samaritan who passed by and was touched by his condition, attended to the man. Now, the Priest and Levite both represented people of God, they represented "God", so it was clear to everyone what Jesus was passing across. Likewise the Samaritan was not even one reckoned to be of God. When you study John 4, you'd find out how the Samaritans were perceived by the Jew

Optimism Pays

Sometimes, it's hard for us to believe certain things even after God has said certain spec

Beautiful for situation

Psalms  48:2 "Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King." God is majority. He with God is majority. The Psalmist in his peculiar revelation says the above. He says God is beautiful for situation. Now, though this sometimes is explained to be "God being there and good for all situations", but really its way more than that. When He says God is beautiful for situation. It's actually more of an attributive term than descriptive, meaning that He talks about the attributes God possesses than describing God in a particular situation. God, beautiful for situation means God is too glorious to be considered in a "situation" with you. When you've got God, you don't say you're in a "situation", God is an atmosphere. When you study the delivery of Israel from Egypt, the Bible says the Israelites carried their own atmosphere, amazing! When you've got God on yo

Response-bility

Luke  12:48 "...For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more."   Did you ever watch "Spider-Man"?. A line in that classic that mostly rings in the mind of anyone conversant with the movie is the line, "...with great power comes great responsibility". This is truth. Even the Bible agrees to this.  Ability leads to responsibility, responsibility calls for action. Whatever " edge" you have over others in a particular cause is for you to be a blessing. I saw somewhere where someone said even the Bible says "mind your business", I laughed so hard. You know, people oftentimes could try to " validate" whatever they feel or want to believe with places in the Bible they take out of context, I was once that way😅. Minding your business never has anything to do with helping others out when you are to. Until you have the care of others at heart, you wi

Look out to impact others

Proverbs  11:24  "There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty." One basic law in life is you become better in whatever you teach others. Its a fact!...Proven. Then why is it that sometimes, when some people are asked about their success stories, they say "Its God", well, we clearly would not deny God is a very critical factor to success, however God Himself as set up principles for success. For example God has said that, He that would not work, should not eat(2Thess3:10). So a man just attributing his success to God without sharing with others nuggets of his success is doing himself even more harm than good. Well, some people feel their hoarding their knowledge keeps them ahead in that field, which is a great falsehood. Knowledge hoarded without shared leads to depreciation. One secret of those who increase everyday is sharing with others. The scripture above says " there is he that s

Seek Insight

Proverbs 20:5 "The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out." (NIV) Purpose gives credence to living. Nevertheless, it's not always easy sometimes in the journey to achieve purpose. The scriptures gives the picture of one who has purposes on the inside, one who is living for a cause. It says they are like "deep waters", but one who has " insight" draws them out. "Insight" here means information, it means the technical know-how a man has over another. The distance between purpose and purpose fulfillment will always be Insight. The Bible says "Go for wisdom", this is " insight". No dream can be fully actualized without proper information and insight. It says "...one who has insight draws them out". You must go for more information.   Also, when you get information, treat it with so much value, if you must part with information to another man, part with it AT A COST. If

Stay Thankful❤️

1 Thessalonians  5:18 "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." God is good. He does good. There is no iota of wickedness in Him towards man.  You know, a lot of people often times ask, "well, if God is good, why does He allow wicked things happen since He is omnipotent?", like why can't He just veto circumstances. Some even make up their minds to just say, "God is just God, not necessarily good". Well, the answer to such questions I have always given when asked is that God created the world but He's left it in the affairs of men, nevertheless creating standards for the world to revolve round. God doesn't endorse wickedness, even though it happens but the wicked would always meet their waterloo, which means He is good and therefore protects His own. So, a wise man would always give thanks to God for His goodness. God is good, it's not a cliché, it's a fact. He makes the standard for the w

Your anger doesn't boil water🤓

Proverbs  25:28  "He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls." One of the greatest test of an excellent personality is "self-control". Self-control is the ability to be in perfect mastery of your emotions and your mind. The scriptures likens a man without self-control to a city that is broken down and without walls. In ancient times and even now, no matter how strong a city was militarily, if the city had no walls, it was vulnerable and very open to attacks, this was why Jericho's strongest defense was her walls. So when the Bible likens a "city without walls" to one who has no self-control it gives a picture of one who is vulnerable and open to attacks.   As a Christian, you must have self-control, do not be angered by everything, do not be infuriated by everything, do not spend time giving a "piece of your mind" to everyone until everyone now has a "piece of your mind" . A man

God's Calendar

Exodus 12:2 "This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you." When God was about to start His formal relationship with Israel, the very first thing He did was to change their calendar. This is quite remarkable for two(2) major reasons, which are: 1.A Calendar shows various breakings of days, which helps in dating special occasions. 2. A Calendar helps in showing general progress of man in his plans & affairs in calculation within a stipulated time. These two are quite important because God was about to set up a whole new world for Israel that would regulate their occasions & progress as a clan. Now, in the New Testament, the same holds, do not forget the Old Testament was the shadow of the New, meaning the New Testament is the real deal while the Old Testament helped lay the blueprint for the New. In Christ, the calendar God has set for His people is "GRACE". Everyday, God has set the time to a time of
