PLB Editorial- Prayer of SalvationπŸ™

Being born again is not a heaven behaviour modification programme, neither is it a moral code regiment. To be born again means to accept Jesus as one's Lord and declare Him so! The moment that is done, one's natural life is completely replaced with God's divine life- in essence, the old dude died and a completely new and different being has emerged which was born this time by almighty God and that immediately translates you into his class! No other creation of God has this privilege except the man who is born again. So rejoice, your new and best life begins now! According to the Bible in Romans10:9-10 (check it out yourself) getting started is by believing and confessing the Lordship of Jesus. So you can say the words below with your whole heart and God'll take it from there. "Oh Lord God, I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ. Your word says, "…whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Acts 2:21) I ask Jesus to come into my he

PLB GUEST- He solved the sin problem for good!- Jide Akinlua (Epistle of Grace Publications)

He solved the sin problem for good.. 1 John 2:2 ( MSG) The most awesome demonstration of God's loving affection towards a rebellious and fallen human race is the fact that God added humanity to His deity, lived among sinful men and ultimately died the most ghastly death for our sins. I think once in a while we need to be reminded of how guilty we were before God and what would have become of us if Jesus never came. That gruesome death of being crucified on the cross was our death—Yes, we deserved that. To be Crucified, in the ancient Roman world, was considered the most undignifying way to die. In point of fact, crucifixion was  reserved for those who were considered to be outright criminals. The Romans considered it a shame while the Jews saw it as a curse! Yet Jesus who never sinned and never committed a crime was sentenced to die the death of a criminal. Oh! Sweet Jesus! He didn't have to take these suffering and punishment for our sins upon himself but love compelled Hi

PLB Editorial- Cheers 🍻 to life!

Jesus, while speaking to listeners in John 6 talked of them eating his flesh and drinking his blood and how this would forever quench their hunger and thirst. Most of the people who heard this couldn't receive it, it seemed as if Jesus was trying to initiate them into some cult where they'd all be required to be cannibals. Yet Jesus, unapologetic as He always was didn't even try to break it down to their understanding, instead He said "those who hear and learn from my Father come to me". On that day some of His disciples left Him, citing how His teaching and doctrine was too controversial and hard to take. Howbeit none from the popular 12 left. Fast forward to 1Corinthians11:24 and Paul is reiterating the events of the Jesus' last supper with His disciples as He received it from God. Jesus used those words again "this is my body" and "this is the cup of the new testament in my blood" and required of us to break and eat and also to drink.

PLB'S #thankyoutuesdays- Personality of the week

At PLB, Tuesdays are for "thank yous". You just choose someone in your world and tell them a very heart felt "thank you" for whatever good it is they add to your life. It could be your parents, spouse, siblings, kids, colleagues, the janitor at work, the food vendor in the neighbourhood, your barber or even a distant friend. Plan it and call to tell 'em thanks. They'll love ❤ it! Today my thanks goes to Reverend Dr. Chris Oyakhilome. I might not be able to reach him to tell him personally at the moment but I truly appreciate him for everything he's been to the world. Pastor Chris, as he is fondly called inspires many everyday through his many incredible initiatives such as the world's number one daily devotional- Rhapsody of Realities, the Healing School- which teaches students Bible Truths on divine healing and health and a host of many other such initiatives and global establishments such as Loveworld USA, Loveworld Plus, the Inner City Missi

PLB Foundation: Benue Flood Victims Donations

www.theinnercitymission.ngo/donate This isn't a season of hurricanes floods and natural disasters, nope, it's not. This is a season of love, a season where our affections must be compelled enough to help those in need of our help. A season where devastation meets an overwhelming force of love ❤ and help. This is not the season to stand quiet and watch "others" do the helping. It's a season for us (you and me) to be the saviours in others lives and show them that God loves and cares for them. We preach the gospel of Jesus but no one preached it better than Jesus Himself who went about doing good and helping people get out of their problems and predicaments. The PLB is glad to announce to you that we're now in Partnership with www.theinnercitymission.ngo/donate . PLB Editorial: Cheer up!!! πŸŽ‰πŸŽˆ (John16)

John 16:1 "I have told you these things so that you won't abandon your faith." Today, I recommend that you take out time sometime this weekend to study this Scripture and the entire chapter of John 16. Jesus was spitting some real hardcore truth to His disciples that are just as true today as they were then. I am amazed, He knew that we were gonna face real tough times that'd challenge our faith in Him to the very core. He even knew that these challenges could be so strong that they tempt us so greatly to "abandon" our faith. He didn't mince words, we were to face crazy and unbelievably tough times simply because we love Him and have chosen to live by His word. In John 16:2, He said, "For you will be expelled from the synagogues, and the time is coming when those who kill you will think they are doing a holy service for God". That's how bad it's gotten for some of us around the world. People killing Christians thinking they'r

PLB Foundation: Safety tips after a natural disaster

It's been an extremely disheartening thing to have seen the spate of natural disasters that have occurred in several countries over the past few weeks, the landslides in Sierra Leone, the floods in parts of Nigeria, the hurricane in the US and many other sad events. Yet it's good to know that we can do something about it! I, for example prayed for the victims of these disasters and while praying, the Holy Spirit told me to do this. So, for starters, you can pray for these people and God will show you how you can be of help as well. Jesus said in John 16:33, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world". So, don't be afraid. Cheer up instead, you've overcome the world and it's misadventures in Him. These are times for us to be resilient and show that we are a people of love by helping out in whatever way that we can; donating, joinin
