Tobi's take on "Faith"

CLASSIC FAITH SERIES
"FAITH", quite a very  crucial and need say probably the most important aspect in the Christian walk. Sometimes not fully understood and as a result not being fully utilized to its maximum potentialities and workings, hence being misconcepted when it "fails", but faith never fails, it never failed any of the patriarchs of old in the Bible, and still doesn't fail in contemporary times.
Taking a brief exposΓ© on the origin & modus operandi of the God- kind of Faith, I'm sure it would really get you loving it more.
The first major account of "Faith" in the Bible was to Abram, who God had PROMISED a child in a very old age. Did you know that was a story of Faith? Sure you must have heard about the story, whose wife Sarai also being old equally, and had clearly passed menopause was now to have a chid in a very old age. Seeing that this was impossible, Abraham must have reasoned or thought out how such old body systems as his & Sarai's  could bring forth a child. Abraham not being able to fathom or comprehend how this would happen had to look beyond the PROMISE of the child and to the ONE who promised the child, because he definitely knew a child couldn't come forth humanly  from He & Sarah. There'd have to be a divine touch for them to have a child at that age because the Bible clearly says that he considered not HIS OWN BODY NOW DEAD nor the DEADNESS OF SARAH's WOMB(Rom 4:19).

That's the first dimension to Faith, Faith lifts your sight from the promise to the one who made the promise. Faith is blind to the circumstance and open sighted to the change desired. Abraham must have doubted the promise because the Bible says God had to help his vision by showing him the stars, the sand, changing his name, to help him see what God was saying but it's possible even though God must have shown him(Abraham) all those pictures, he mostly might not have believed, but knowing that HE who made those promises was God, it must have helped him see the reality & possibility of the pictures, because to him, as  long as He(God) that made the promise still lives, the promise should definitely live on too.

That's the second thing, faith helps you see the everlasting & never-dying  nature of God...and knowing God never dies, your Faith should never die as well.
In addition to these, all  the while God had given this promise of a child to Abram(Abraham),  imagine Abraham from time to time being asked by his friends, and relatives on why not "adopting" a child or what he thought about his "childlessness" and Abraham said "I'm going to have a child soon", and they laughed him to scorn thinking now he has gone nuts in addition to his childlessness, and from time to time they kept asking him and he kept saying he's going to have a child, he said it at 90 years old, nothing happened, he said it at 93 years old nothing had still happened,95 nothing still happened, imagine saying this every year before 100 years old when he had the child, and everyone had gotten tired of hearing his "vain" confessions until the child came, and now they had the last laugh, little wonder they had to name him "Laughter" amongst many names.

That's the third thing I'd point out , Faith brings a particular confession till its  manifestation, Faith does not make different confessions.
So, why don't you try these 3 easy Spirit techniques and approaches to your Faith, add some classic touch to your faith & get your desired results.

We'd take a look at another steward of Faith in the next volume. Thank you.

Apostle Peter- Running 1

A blend of Bible stories, revelations and fiction (literature license) about Peter's life and somewhat complex choices and decisions. Sit back, relax, cappuccino and enjoy! And Peter was running again, away from the persecution that had once again broken out against the Church. Jesus had been long gone. He missed Him. He still had nostalgia and goose bumps whenever he remembered just how divine Jesus was. He had seen Jesus do a lot of amazing miracles but none quite like the last one- he and his other folks, some 50 of them watched as Jesus levitated into the heavens until no physical eyes could see him again. He said He was going to heaven and of course that was true- Peter knew now by deep conviction that he'd walked with God Himself. And for some reason he thought himself a friend of God. He knew he was going to see Jesus again sometime soon. There was no debate in his heart about this. He loved Jesus or perhaps God- they were one and the same persons to him now. He

#perfectlovechallenge

Wow! While studying the Bible yesterday I was presented a challenge by God and had to get the PLB team involved asap. Check out the Scripture below. 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. Did you see that word? The one most of us dread and consider totally impractical is featured in this Scripture... right there as the 8th and 23rd words πŸ˜ƒ. But really do you think it is really possible to practise "perfect" love? Pls comment below and let the world know! I know the word "PERFECT" scares the crap outta people but when God says "perfect" is possible then it means we are entirely fashioned within and without to do it. There's absolutely no reservation in this Scripture as regards whether or not it is possible to be "perfect" in love in this transient world! I think it's safe to say that it is possible to be perfect (fully mat

Going on to know Him

People easily judge other people when they don't know them. We all may be guilty of this. A Lotta times, we stereotype people by how they look, their dressing and outward mannerisms ever before we hear them speak. I have been shocked many times of how guilty I've been with this. The most recent of such a person I nearly badly stereotyped turned out to be such an incredible person, so different and special in her way and she helped me in many beautiful ways such that we became pretty cool friends in the space of just a few months but this was the same lady I almost thought was way away from my type of friends. We've all made such mistakes so don't look at me that wayπŸ˜ΆπŸ˜‡. When we were done with the project that brought us together, I offered to take us to an icecream spot- it would probably be the last time we were seeing so it was my way of saying "thanks". There I told her how I had felt about her when I first saw her and she was somewhat unsurprised and sa
