Wisdom is key!

Luke  17:14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

17:15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,

17:19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

One part of the scriptures that has always ministered wisdom to me tremendously and the many blessings that could come as a result of a wise step is the scriptures above. It is a story usually used to refer to the Power of Thanksgiving, however, not many take on it for the power of wisdom it projects. The story takes deep from the encounter of the Ten lepers with Jesus, these lepers who had been outcasts as a result of their disease would once again find liberty through the ever tender mercies of God. However, the astounding part of this story is that Jesus ministered healing to the ten lepers, however, only one leper got the full package. Jesus, on meeting them had told them to go show themselves to the priests as it was customary in Israel that when a man was healed with leprosy, the priest was the one who certifies him clean to return to the society, so, on their way, when they saw themselves healed, one of them didn't bother continuing the journey to the priest, but rather turned back, and came to give Jesus thanks, and as a result of that He was made whole,i.e recovering all He lost as a result of the sickness, then Jesus told him to go his way, but one would rather say Jesus wasn't just in this story, wasn't He the one who told the lepers to go show themselves to the priest? Why didn't He allow them get to the priests first and then come back to thank Him? Why did He allow this one leper who turned back on his way to doing what Jesus had told them to do? One could put up this argument for the other 9 lepers because it was clear in Jesus' response that to God, the other 9 hadn't come to give thanks and weren't made whole. However, what Jesus expected them to know as they went healed was that the priest He was sending them to go meet was Himself, a heart of gratitude is towards the one who the help comes from, little wonder, it was a Samaritan who would grasp that understanding, and received the full healing package from God. This Samaritan had been preserved and promoted by wisdom.Wisdom made him know who deserved the true gratitude. Wisdom can make your package fuller than another who received the same thing as you. Wisdom is key! Do have a beautiful day ahead today❤️πŸ’―

Apostle Peter- Running 1

A blend of Bible stories, revelations and fiction (literature license) about Peter's life and somewhat complex choices and decisions. Sit back, relax, cappuccino and enjoy! And Peter was running again, away from the persecution that had once again broken out against the Church. Jesus had been long gone. He missed Him. He still had nostalgia and goose bumps whenever he remembered just how divine Jesus was. He had seen Jesus do a lot of amazing miracles but none quite like the last one- he and his other folks, some 50 of them watched as Jesus levitated into the heavens until no physical eyes could see him again. He said He was going to heaven and of course that was true- Peter knew now by deep conviction that he'd walked with God Himself. And for some reason he thought himself a friend of God. He knew he was going to see Jesus again sometime soon. There was no debate in his heart about this. He loved Jesus or perhaps God- they were one and the same persons to him now. He

Going on to know Him

People easily judge other people when they don't know them. We all may be guilty of this. A Lotta times, we stereotype people by how they look, their dressing and outward mannerisms ever before we hear them speak. I have been shocked many times of how guilty I've been with this. The most recent of such a person I nearly badly stereotyped turned out to be such an incredible person, so different and special in her way and she helped me in many beautiful ways such that we became pretty cool friends in the space of just a few months but this was the same lady I almost thought was way away from my type of friends. We've all made such mistakes so don't look at me that wayπŸ˜ΆπŸ˜‡. When we were done with the project that brought us together, I offered to take us to an icecream spot- it would probably be the last time we were seeing so it was my way of saying "thanks". There I told her how I had felt about her when I first saw her and she was somewhat unsurprised and sa

#perfectlovechallenge

Wow! While studying the Bible yesterday I was presented a challenge by God and had to get the PLB team involved asap. Check out the Scripture below. 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. Did you see that word? The one most of us dread and consider totally impractical is featured in this Scripture... right there as the 8th and 23rd words πŸ˜ƒ. But really do you think it is really possible to practise "perfect" love? Pls comment below and let the world know! I know the word "PERFECT" scares the crap outta people but when God says "perfect" is possible then it means we are entirely fashioned within and without to do it. There's absolutely no reservation in this Scripture as regards whether or not it is possible to be "perfect" in love in this transient world! I think it's safe to say that it is possible to be perfect (fully mat
